Sea green, salmon and lilac are among the calming pastels you’ll see this summer. For a booster shot of joy, pair your pastels with bright hues like yellow and jade green. But if you want to chill out even more, mix pastels with neutrals like beige and black.

Outdoor LED projector lights (preferably craftily concealed) bring drama and functionality to your outdoor space. Spotlight a specimen tree, illuminate a pathway or create intriguing reflections on a pond at night. From indoors to out, we’re having a little love-in with Mediterranean design. Drawing inspiration from modern Italian and Spanish architecture, Med style outside is all about elegant deck chairs, stone and brick facades, and exotic vegetation. Often based on a monochromatic colour palette – especially white or grey – this aesthetic is refined, right down to the details.
